Welcome to Central Alberta Women's Emergency Shelter, where we believe everyone deserves a life free from family violence. Our shelter provides safe refuge, case management, and community support for families facing these challenges. Each year, nearly 3,000 individuals take the brave step towards a violence-free life, but thousands more in our community still need our help.

Family violence affects not only individuals and families but entire communities. Through prevention initiatives, child-focused healing programs, and empowering clients for safe independence, we've seen promising improvements in family violence rates in central Alberta. We continue to create groundbreaking opportunities for education and awareness. At CAWES, positive transformations are happening, and lives are changing.
