The Red Deer and District SPCA provides the coordination of care for the family pet(s) within the SPCA or foster care from a qualified family in the community for the duration of your stay at the Central Alberta Women’s Emergency Shelter and beyond when needed.

Through this program provisions are made to allow victims to safely seek the safety of the shelter without the worry of what will happen to their pets.

Qualified C.A.W.E.S. crisis workers will liaise with clients and the Red Deer & District SPCA helping to make the necessary arrangements to ensure the safety of all concerned.
